AIDU's technical foundation originates from the former Shanghai Geological Instrument Factory, one of the earliest geophysical instrument development organizations in China.
In 1973, Chief Engineer Lu Huanwen developed the short-wire D75 electrical prospecting instrument, laying the foundation for decades of continued research and innovation in geophysical exploration technologies. Former Deputy Chief Engineer Zhou Huiwei and the engineering team have continued advancing exploration methods and instrumentation for underground resource investigation, geological hazard detection, environmental engineering, and related fields.
Guided by the philosophy of "precision, stability, intelligence, and efficiency," AIDU has maintained a long-term focus on practical geophysical technologies and continuous product evolution.
Today, the company has developed five major product categories covering groundwater exploration, mineral exploration, emergency geological investigation, environmental engineering, and archaeological exploration, with more than 100 product models.
AIDU systems are built around IoT-based architectures, supporting automated online data acquisition, cloud-based or offline processing workflows, AI-assisted interpretation, and continuously evolving industry application databases.
The company has obtained multiple independent intellectual property rights and has received repeated support from national and municipal science and technology innovation programs. AIDU has been recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a "Specialized and Innovative Enterprise," and has passed ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification.
AIDU operates R&D and manufacturing bases in both Shanghai and Guilin. After decades of development, the company has established sales and service networks worldwide and serves a large international user base across geophysical, groundwater, mineral, environmental, and engineering sectors.

As a strategic partner of AIDU, Guilin Technology Hydrogeological Investigation Institute is a leading provider of geological survey services. Our expertise spans a wide range of areas, including geothermal spring exploration, groundwater exploration, mineral resource exploration, hydrogeological investigation, underground leakage exploration, and karst and landslide geological hazard investigation.
In addition to our geological survey services, we are also dedicated to the research and development of innovative geophysical prospecting methods and instruments. We have successfully developed a variety of instruments, such as ground water finders, geothermal spring detectors, embankment erosion detectors, logging instruments, and mineral exploration instruments.
Over the years, our institute has remained at the forefront of technological advancements, actively developing and implementing new technologies and instruments. We are committed to technological innovation and maintaining the highest standards of engineering quality. Rooted in geological exploration to serve social development, we have strengthened communication and cooperation with various sectors of society, contributing to the development of hydrogeological investigation.
Looking ahead, we recognize the significant challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. We firmly believe that the sustainable and responsible utilization of underground resources is essential for the well-being of humanity.
Our institute is dedicated to leveraging our expertise and resources to support resource exploration and disaster management initiatives. We invite friends from all walks of life to join us in our mission. Your support and encouragement are invaluable to our continued success. We believe that together, we can achieve even greater heights.
Cheif Engineer of former Shanghai Geological Instrument Factory
