Marine Magnetotelluric (MT) Method System ADMT-EH
Testing underway for the ADMT-EH system of magnetotelluric (MT) method in simulated water environments.
MT method is highly sensitive to low resistivity layers and remains unaffected by shielding from high resistive layers. Its depth range varies with the EM field frequency, from shallow depths of tens of meters to targets hundreds of kilometers deep.
What's more, it operates without external power, keeping operational costs low. It finds applications in diverse fields like petroleum and gas surveys, deep geological structure investigations, geothermal and groundwater assessments, earthquake prediction, and geological hazard prevention.
